The design of electrochemical sensor with integrated potentiostat chip
Uhlár, Martin ; Novotný, Marek (referee) ; Adámek, Martin (advisor)
The research on electrochemical sensor applications in combination with application-defined electronic circuits is a very fast developing field of modern sensorics. Device designing of unique integrated systems with specific properties and parameters is now becoming the everyday practice for producers of devices based on the latest technology progress in microelectronics. In the process of realization of a new device type, the main objective consists in increasing the possibility of detecting very low concentrations of heavy metals in the given chemical solution, extending the signal-to-noise ratio, and measuring the potential of a sensor. The general aim of this Master’s thesis is to design the topology of a sensor based on the thick film technology, to materialize the sensor, and to make experimental measurement using the sensor prototype. The practical reason for basing the measurement on the application of this thick film sensor is to find out whether the operational integration of the sensor and the circuit has been achieved according to the original hypothesis. Importantly, it is also necessary to determine whether the reproducibility of measured results has been reached. The innovative aspect of the created device consists in the improvement of output characteristics given by the integration of ASIC (IMAM CHIP). The integration of ASIC on the surface of the sensor eliminates the huge parasitic influence that affects the accuracy of measurement.

Thick-film sensors for heavy metals detection
Polický, Jiří ; Adámek, Martin (referee) ; Prášek, Jan (advisor)
This work covers an area of heavy metals detection using thick-film sensors. Fabrication of screen-printed thick-film sensor and electrochemical analytical methods for detection of chemical elements in aqueous solutions are described in this work. Several commercial and own prepared thick-film pastes were used for carbon based working electrodes. The electrochemical properties of the pastes were examined by cadmium ions detection in potassium chloride solution using differential pulse voltammetry. The best results were achieved on the electrode made of direct grown carbon nanotubes on the electrode layer NM22. A detection limit 20×10-6 mol l-1.was reached with this working electrode material during oxidation process.
Possibilities of stencils production by a laser on the device AUREL 300
Doležel, Tomáš ; Šandera, Josef (referee) ; Adámek, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the possibilities of production of rework stencils using a trimming laser AUREL 300. The first part focuses on the basic description of the thick-film technology and the possibility of using lasers in this area. The most common methods of producing stencils for printing solder pastes are described in the next section. Machining of various non-traditional materials and the actual design, realization and testing of rework stencils for printing solder paste of these materials is documented in the practical part. Furthermore, options and recommendations for the production of rework stencils are given in this thesis.
Electrochemical sensor array
Šulc, Jakub ; Prášek, Jan (referee) ; Adámek, Martin (advisor)
In recent years (Of late year)microelectronic technology significantly affected in the field of sensor technology, especially in the field of electrochemical sensors. This thesis deals with design and construction of thick-film voltammetric sensors array. The reason for proposal of voltammetric sensors array is to increase of speed, increase the accuracy and extension possibilities measurement compared with common systems.By reason of increase of sensitivity of these sensors it is efficient use the potentiostat chip for measurement output signal. Created sensors must fulfill the specified parameters and also requirements of thick-film technology. Next step is design the basic blocks of electronic circuit used to evaluate the measured values.
The system for measurement of little flow
Karásek, Eduard ; Prášek, Jan (referee) ; Adámek, Martin (advisor)
Diploma thesis solves how to create system for measurement of little liquid flows. The basic types of liquid flowmeter, which are possible used for measurement of little liquid flows, are described in the introduction part of thesis. The limit for little flow is often determined as flow 100 mg.min-1 and low. Second part of this thesis describes the ways of capillary production and practical experiments with them. Thesis is focused to thick film technology and LTCC technology. Next part of this work is solution of simple measuring unit for measurement of little flows less than 100 mg.min 1, which is controlled by microprocessor ATmega16. The measuring unit can be worked separately or can be connected to PC. The next possibility of flowmeter optimisation is summarized in end of thesis.
Thick-film amperometric sensor array
Růžička, Tomáš ; Prášek, Jan (referee) ; Adámek, Martin (advisor)
Supposed work deals with proposal and construction of thick-film amperometric sensor array. The reason of this proposal of sensor array is multiple increase of speed, increase of accuracy and enlargement of possibilities of measuring against current optical system. In theoretic part there is described method of seriography and electrochemical analytic method for determination of chemical elements in the solution. Practical part is composed of proposal of topology of electrochemical sensor electrodes, their comparison according to characteristics and subsequently of the proposal of sensor array. For testing of function of sensor array measuring by method of cyclical voltametry was done with the help of default electrochemical oxidative-reducing pair of potassium ferro-ferricyanide.
Design of a thick-film temperature sensor array
Fojtík, Marek ; Skácel, Josef (referee) ; Otáhal, Alexandr (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to study the issue of measuring temperature sensor arrays and then use the knowledge for design of a temperature sensor array. This thesis is divided into theoretical part and practical part. In the theoretical part of the thesis the aim is to obtain information about the types of temperature sensors implemented in the thick-film technology, categorization of cermet materials for temperature sensors by their accuracy and possible uses in different applications. In the practical part of the thesis, the array of temperature sensors was designed in topology of matrix. The design was customized to the requirements of cermet materials in order to achieve the required accuracy. Subsequently, the design was realized through the thick film technology. Suitable measurement methodology was proposed for the array of temperature sensors. Measurement of this field was made.
